The FPVFC is lobbying congress to change the FAA rules so that the lower limit for registration will be one kilogram (2.2 lb.) instead of the current 250 grams (.55 lb.). Remote ID (RID) is tied to aircraft registration, and RID will not be required for aircraft below the lower weight limit under current rules.
